A world without AIDS
The HIV virus atacks only few white cells from the immune system. As the immune system gets weaker, the white cells stop fighting diseases and infections. The viruses that usually were destroyed by the immune system, now, they multiply in the human body. Aids are not caused by the HIV virus, they destroy the defense system of the human body while fighting infections.
First cases of aids had been found in the USA.
In 1981, by the way the disease spred, the scientists believed that aids appeared from other viruses and they discovered that
it has under a 100 years and over 20 years. The effects of the aids appear after 5 to 10 years after the body had been infected. It can be detected in blood, at the brain or on the spine. The simptoms are a lot like a flu with high temperature and other normal flu simptoms. The individual can transmit the HIV virus without being aware. After the HIV virus starts multipling, the aids appear. Diseases like, meningitis, encephalitis and pneumonia can kill the individual. Also, it can develop cancer and hemorrhage, in the last faze of the disease, when the immune system is not reacting anymore.
The first way of transmiting the virus is by sexual contact.
Secondly, from a mother to a baby that still is in the uterus.
And thirdly, through the blood and other liquids of the human body. That's the reason why so many people got infected with the HIV virus by receiving blood from others. Nowadays the blood is very well tested before giving it to the patient.
Protecting yourself from getting ill means, using condoms and not doing drugs. It seams that even the saliva can infect the body.
Surely, AIDS is the most deadly disease in nowadays. In 1991, in the USA almost 10 milion people were infected with the HIV virus and at every 12 minutes, a person died from aids. The World Organization of Health estimated that in 2000, 40 milion people were being discovered as positiv. Almost all the countries are effected by aids, even if some of them are in danger, countries like:North America, Central Africa, Caraibe and South Asia. Because of the many human loses, the scientists tried to find treatments but sadly, there is, still, no treatement yet for the HIV virus. The only way we can protect ourselfs, is using condoms and avoiding activities at high risk.

Yoga and conscience
Yoga is the oldest system of self-control, self-knowledge and human perfection.
It includes, both spiritual concept and methods of practice for inside changes.
Even if, it's not a religion, yoga can put people in touch with their spiritual side.
Completion and happiness are not given by what an individual lives, but by
the way he lives.
Yoga gives you the chance to live every moment of your life as if it was the last,
it brings you peace of mind, soul and body.
Some say that yoga has a different kind of practice for each single
human being and he's problems.
It also controls stress, makes you love life and brings peace to your mind.
I like writing about the practice of yoga,
it's an extraordinary way of knowing yourself and appreciating life.
I am a practician of yoga for almost 4 years and I can say that it
brought me peace,
happiness and a good state of mind, learning me to control my fears and my emotions,
fighting my bad thoughts by controling my mind.
I'm aware that some people are afraid of yoga but, in my opinion,
firstly you should study a lot about this technique and start to practice alone,
at home.
I think each and every individual has it's own way of opening their mind and concetrating
on his spiritual side.
In other words, my advice is that you can start yoga when you feel ready to get in touch with your inner issues.
Life has a lot of ways not only of knowing what you have around you but, also what you keep inside yourself...and than, why not taking every chance that life, itself gives us to explore and to get to that absolute stage of happiness?!

Tea and cancer
Tea prevents the appearance of cancer...Some of us like to drink
coffee everyday, as well as
others prefer tea instead of coffee, well, lucky you, because tea strengthens up the immune system,
it protects our body from viruses and radiations, and also
it prevents getting old sooner. One leaf of tea contains
40% glucose, 20% proteins, 2% fats, 9% minerals,
C, B and other vitamines, too.
A team of scientists from the University of Ohio studied
the green tea effects of preventing
cancer. The conclusion is that the green tea protects the body from all kinds of diseases by maintaining the immune system
at high level.
It increases the capacity of studing and concentration,
it fights stress, improves memory and the entire body functions.
I'm happy to say that I love drinking green tea better than
anything else, so I'm protected from getting a cold and it makes me
feel better...also it's a good way to eliminate toxines from your body.
I know that, nowadays, people stopped
thinking of their health, that's what concerneds me. Hopefully, I'll do
my best to incourage all of you that it's better to prevent than to treat
a disease. So keep your life as healthy as possible! I owe you an appology
for not posting anything, but I'll keep doing research, as medicine improves
treatements everyday.

Can soybeans really treat cancer?
The soybeans come from Asia and in Europe
they appeared at the end of the 18th century. In countries such as Japan, where soy is the base for all kinds of food, it seems that the risk of cancer and heart disease is lower than,
other countries in Europe, where people don't usualy use soybeans.
Scientists from the University of Milano, Helsinki, Michigan, as well
as from the Medical Center of Stanford University, California, studied the soybeans and they
got to the fact that soy, used everyday, helps preventing and treating
breast cancer, lung cancer and heart disease.
Soy food
This also was the conclusion of almost 100 scientists that took part in the third
International Symposium about "Soy, preventing and treating chronical diseases.", in Washington, 1999.

Cancer Deaths
The cancer death rate in the United States -- which has been slowly dropping since 1993 -- has fallen even more significantly in recent years, according to an annual report from the nation's leading cancer organizations.
Previous studies had shown cancer death rates in the US decreasing by an average of 1.1% a year from 1993 through 2002, a steady decline credited to the effectiveness of prevention efforts, new screening methods and wider use of early detection, and better treatments that have extended life expectancy after diagnosis. Those benefits appear to be accumulating more rapidly, with the latest report showing evidence that the decline in cancer deaths nearly doubled from 2002 through 2004, with an average decrease of 2.1% seen each year. Because death rates are considered the best indicator of progress against cancer, this encouraging trend gets top billing in the Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer, 1975-2004, Featuring Cancer in American Indians and Alaska Natives.
Looking at the population as a whole, the report shows that cancer death rates have decreased for the majority of the 15 most commonly diagnosed cancers in men and women. This includes important declines in the 3 leading causes of cancer deaths in men -- lung, prostate, and colorectal cancers -- and in 2 of the 3 leading causes of cancer deaths in women -- colorectal cancer and breast cancer. Death rates from lung cancer, the number one cause of cancer death in both sexes, continued to increase in women, but at a substantially slower rate than in years past.
"The evidence is unmistakable: We are truly turning the tide in the cancer battle," said John R. Seffrin, PhD, chief executive officer of the American Cancer Society. "
On the other hand, increased screening could be connected to an increase in incidence because more cancers are being found before they cause symptoms. That's what researchers think caused a jump in prostate cancer rates between 1988 and 1992.
Among the caveats and clarifications to consider in the latest statistics on cancer incidence:
For men, incidence rates for all cancers decreased by 4.3% per year from 1992 through 1995 and were stable from 1995 through 2004. But incidence rates of myeloma and cancers of the liver, kidney, and esophagus continued to increase for men through 2004.
For women, incidence rates for all cancers combined stabilized from 1999 through 2004 after years of increases. Still, the rates for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, melanoma, leukemia, and cancers of the bladder and kidney have been increasing for 29 years. Thyroid cancer incidence rates in women have been going up since 1980.
Lung cancer incidence rates in women stabilized from 1998 through 2004 following a period of long-term increase. In this case, incidence rates lag behind smoking patterns by several years. Smoking became more common among US women in the years after World War II, leading to higher lung cancer rates down the line. As anti-tobacco efforts have led to lower smoking rates, the increase in lung cancer incidence rates is leveling off.
Lung cancer incidence rates in men declined 1.8% per year from the period 1991 through 2004.
Colorectal cancer incidence rates decreased by more than 2.0% per year for men and women, likely due to prevention through the removal of precancerous polyps.
This month I'll do more research to this subject, as both women and men are exposed to breast cancer, and also, october happens to be the awareness breast cancer month...hope I kept you all healthy informed .Have a nice day!Carly

October-breast cancer awareness month
Could that sexy underwire bra cause breast cancer? What about that frozen yogurt you just ordered? Or hormone therapy? And how would you know if you had the disease until it was too late anyway? Don't some studies show that examining your breasts and getting mammograms are useless?
No risk factor either alone or in combination with others means you'll definitely get breast cancer. There are various factors that may increase your risk of developing the disease. Some of these appear to increase your risk only slightly. They include smoking, drinking (more than five alcoholic drinks per week year after year), getting your first menstrual period before age 12, continuing to have periods after age 50, and not having your first full-term pregnancy until after age 30. If you have a number of these, the increase in risk can start to be more meaningful. That said, even an inherited genetic abnormality in your family doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get breast cancer. Abnormalities in the so-called breast cancer genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 are very strong risk indicators. But 20 to 60 percent of women with these inherited abnormalities will not develop breast cancer.

Using natural treatments against cancer
It's best for us to know the simptoms of the brest cancer so we could get to the doctor as soon as possible and start treating the disease. A few simptoms that can indicate a breast cancer are: the appearance of a knot on the breast or a scar that itches. Such as cutting nursing, increasing the number of abortions, being to much overweight and smoking could lead to fall ill. Besides the diet, the most important medicine is the Sark Aid. Why does the Shark Aid cure cancer?? Well, because it stimulates the immune system. The aid of the shark is one of the fewest tissues that impregnates from the closest internals and because of the proteins it develops an anti-tumoral. The shark is the only animal that doesn't have cancer, they haven't changed their morfology for over 400 million years and their wounds heal rapidly. There are a lot of treatments for cancer, and everyday scientists find another cure, even if around the world a lot of people, young or old, die of this disease.
Breast cancer
Metastatic breast cancer spreads faster to women who suffered a traumatic or stressful event according to the University of Rochester Medical Center scientists. Studies show that women who endured a physical or a sexual abuse, see that the tumors return after 2-5 years, while other women with peaceful lives see recurrences after 5 years.
Scientists believe that stress can lead to breast cancer, and it affects the process of spreding killer cells through the body, they also relate the disease to the cause of a stressful event such as losing a loved one.Still, the research continues, as scientists are intrigued by the conflicting evidence.
This research included, as well 94 women who were categorized by the experience they had, either traumatic or stressful with other women who had not faced similar situations.
They studied the cortisol levels from saliva samples from the participants. Cortisol is produced by the body when it faces stress and fear, and there is growing evidence that abnormally prolonged cortisol production inhibits the body's immune response. Palesh said:
"Extended periods of stress and trauma and its resulting cortisol production may interfere with the body's ability to fight off cancer progression. When there is consistent, long-term stress in the body, the elevated cortisol level may can change the body's normal rhythms and potentially reduce resistance to tumor growth."
I find this article very interesting, that's why I wanted to share it with you to. Personally, it's been a pleasure to find as much info as I can about cancer. Have a nice day and a healty life:)

First post
Hey! My name is Carla Stoicescu and I love helping people. All my life I have tried,
and hopefully I have managed to help everyone around me. On both sides, fizical and mental. This is the reason I actually started blogging...to help people get the information they need to live a healthy life. Not that there is no information about this on the Internet, but I will help people out by gathering all sort of medical info, news and stories in a user-friendly manner. Everyone will be able to read and understand all my reviews and personal oppinions about all products. First I will post some information about products that belong to my favorite niche, and that is oncology. For anyone who doesn't know where does that come from...well, it's about cancer. The deadliest cure-less disease nowadays. I'll do my best to keep you healthy informed.
Best regards, Carly.
